The third entry in my series of video “lectures,” made in association with EDGE and game designer James Portnow. Format inspired by Zero Punctuation reviews.
For the first time, NOT made to be presented in a classroom.

BAHAHAHA GReat vid daniel ^^ keep up the good work
I wish I knew you. Your style is effortlessly engaging, and I am eager to admit I share much of your hopes for what games could one day be, if only the “doers” took more notice.
Keep up the amazing work.
niceee……….
I like this, please make more…
Yeah, this is rare for me to only have a single line for a comment; but rest assured you have a good thing going and I will support your efforts in making videos to clear the air of video games.
very good i really hope you get something out of making these vids 5/5 *goes to wikipedia*
wow bravo! what pushed you to do a segment on this? and youre right i think game developers should watch this video and take some time to put some “tangential” learning in video games like halo or sumthin! good job!
You are awesome.
Wonderful bro, keep it coming. Going to spread these and your site as much as I can.
the next one you should do is video games and violence
I really enjoy your videos Daniel. I had a vague idea of games as learning tools for ages. I remember from way back when the SNES version of Civilization had little historical snippets of what each unit or technology was and how it was important.
Also, after playing Sonic for so long i looked up real hedgehogs and now i want one as a pet!
this guy is my new hero. too bad he doesnt make these videos often enough
but when your game is a giant sea of fantasy fiction its gonna be pretty hard for your audience to figure out which elements are references and which are just crazy shit you made up.
Thats freakin funny.
make more of these
That was excellent, funny and informative at the same time. Gotta see more.
Wow, Im certainly impressed of your thoughtful views of video games medium! Keep up the good work!
As for the haters whom goes off about stealing other ppl ideas of presentation, just think of it as homage. He did give refernce credit where its due.
