Hey there guys..i made a video comparing the bass solos of the 2 former bassist of Metallica, Cliff Burton and Jason Newsted. Cliff uses his fingers to play bass. As far as i know he hasn’t used a pick. While Jason Newsted uses a pick to play. Both of them is good. But who’s better?just leave a comment..

Clifford Lee Burton (February 10, 1962 — September 27, 1986) was a bass guitarist, best known for his work with the heavy metal band Metallica from 1982-86.
Burton’s early influence was essential in creating the unique musical style for which Metallica would later become famous. An angry, working-class sound, characterized by rhythm guitar riffs, energic lead guitar and fast driving drums, the band would be seen as innovators of heavy metal music through much of the late 80s and early 90s.
Jason Curtis Newsted (born March 4, 1963, Battle Creek, Michigan) is an American bass guitarist currently a member of Voivod and Rock Star Supernova, but is best known as a former member of the band Metallica from 1986-2001. He currently resides in Walnut Creek, California.

look at cliffs fingers thats a bassist and he was a piano player, he wasnt a guitarist, he distorted his bass to make everything heavier he always used effects
cliff has 10x more stage presence just watch an earlier concert

that happen if you are already famous and you died tragic than all think you were the best and you get 200% more fans in a single day becouse it is reported all over the world. The same happend with Kurt Cobain.
I prefer Jason becouse he was so tough and creative even if he was always in the shadow of Cliff. Jason really lives 4 music.

Cliff was a lot better than jason. i dont know whose better in solos because i cant feel the bass solos as the guitar ones. but compearing with the comsotion cliff cant be compared with jason. i cuoldnt heard the bass with cliff, but i think thats also a problem of james to dont allow him to compose. cliffs solos in orion are incredible.
