Hey there guys..i made a video comparing the bass solos of the 2 former bassist of Metallica, Cliff Burton and Jason Newsted. Cliff uses his fingers to play bass. As far as i know he hasn’t used a pick. While Jason Newsted uses a pick to play. Both of them is good. But who’s better?just leave a comment..

Clifford Lee Burton (February 10, 1962 — September 27, 1986) was a bass guitarist, best known for his work with the heavy metal band Metallica from 1982-86.
Burton’s early influence was essential in creating the unique musical style for which Metallica would later become famous. An angry, working-class sound, characterized by rhythm guitar riffs, energic lead guitar and fast driving drums, the band would be seen as innovators of heavy metal music through much of the late 80s and early 90s.
Jason Curtis Newsted (born March 4, 1963, Battle Creek, Michigan) is an American bass guitarist currently a member of Voivod and Rock Star Supernova, but is best known as a former member of the band Metallica from 1986-2001. He currently resides in Walnut Creek, California.

Cliff is better hands down, but you gotta love Jason, Jason brought a great twist to metallicas music.

just cuz cliff used his fingers it doesnt matter what you use it matters about how much feeling you put into music and i think jason won that battle a long time ago!!
i think jason has more heart in his music but cliff is really good too but personally i pick jason just cuz his solos make me feel wierd and awsome!!

he helped create some of their best songs.
and i was respoding to a comment that said jason was better for metallica
im not saying jason is better than cliff. im sure he did write stuff for metallica but they didnt use it because they hazed him. hes not around because he tried to catch his cabinet when it fell and he injured himself really bad. thats why he isnt around. jason is a really good player. cliff is even better.
jason has like 2 writing credits in his whole time with metallica, and plus where is jason noww???
