Noam Chomsky on the Samuel P. Huntington “clash of civilizations”, Islam, and the West’s relashionship to the most extreme Islamic state - Saudi Arabia, a “key ally”, according to Tony Blair.
This relationship between Saudi Arabia and America does not deny the existence of a clash of civilsations. Their relationship is purely economic and once the oil runs out, on, this clash will come to the forefront. Saudi Arabia is the largest exporter of radical Wahabi imams to Europe who preach the destruction of the normal global order and seek to subvert the legitimacy of the western nation state and the liberal justice system which it encapsulates.
